How can I tell if a cat is pregnant?

The first month it is quite difficult to determine if a cat is pregnant or not. Although in the third week you can already make certain conclusions.

  • From the third week the cat may be less active and its appetite decreases. The cat begins to require more attention and affection;
  • At the same time, hormonal changes begin in the cat. Vomiting begins. Duration of two to seven days;
  • the abdomen is rounder by the sixth week. You can feel the embryos of kittens when gently touching them;
  • At the ninth week, the fetuses are already formed. You can feel the movement of kittens in the cat’s belly.
